Engineering and Construction
All our spirals are custom-built to your individual need for maximum efficiency and function. We can incorporate your architect’s specifications into the fabrication. Our spirals are engineered to meet IRC codes.
The finished structure is a single welded unit so you avoid costly and time-consuming assembly. Each completed spiral is wire welded and personally inspected for quality control by our production manager. Unlike other spiral companies that charge extra for vertical pickets, we include five vertical pickets and tapered treads at no additional cost. The basic spiral staircase comes complete with base and joist plates.
Ordering and Preparing for Installation
To reduce the cost of your total job, we recommend cutting out ¾ of a hole and either leaving in or framing in the other ¼, depending on whether you are remodeling or building a new house. In cutting out your hole, you will need 6 inches more than the diameter of your spiral. So:
- A 4′ spiral would require a 4’6″ hole opening
- A 5′ spiral would require a 5’6″ hole opening
- A 6′ spiral would require a 6’6″ hole opening
For your spiral staircase order, we will need the diameter you require, whether you need a right or left hand turn, and the height measurement from finished floor to finished floor, including everything except the carpet.
